“Serving Doña Ana County as Clerk has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. As a native New Mexican, I continue to be deeply committed to our community and all of the important responsibilities the clerk's office is tasked with. I am fortunate to work with an exceptional staff that works hard every day to ensure Doña Ana County residents receive the services they deserve.”
Amanda has a long history of volunteerism and advocacy work for children, students, and animal welfare. Currently, is a member of the International Women’s Forum, a network of highly accomplished women who are committed to making positive change in their communities throughout New Mexico. She previously served as a Regent for the New Mexico State University Board of Regents and as a board member for La Piñon, Action Program for Animals, Children’s Trust Fund of New Mexico, and the Suicide Prevention Task Force.
Amanda is a graduate of Oñate High School. She received three degrees from New Mexico State University including a Ph.D. in a leadership based program.
Her proudest achievement is being the mother to an eight-year-old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and watching her daughter play softball and soccer on her local teams.
